The University of North Carolina at Charlotte

UNC Charlotte joined the Child Welfare Education Collaborative program in 2002. The goal of our program is to increase the amount of professionally educated social workers in public child welfare.
Students have the option of taking the Child Welfare Course or participating in the Launching My Child Welfare Journey online course be to introduced the child welfare. Students are required to provide a year of service in public child welfare agency (NCDSS) for each year they are in field placement. Graduates enjoy the increased likelihood of securing employment within months of graduation, thanks to the relationships and opportunities that exist between the Collaborative and local departments of social services.
