The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

The Department of Social Work at UNC Greensboro is proud to participate in the North Carolina Child Welfare Education Collaborative. Students pursuing the Bachelor of Social Work degree who are interested in Child Welfare are encouraged to apply for this special track as part of their application to field instruction during the spring semester of their Junior year. Admitted students take SWK 484 (Social Services for Children) during their Senior year while completing a two-semester, 440-hour child welfare internship in a North Carolina County Department of Social Services agency. Upon degree completion, Child Welfare Education Collaborative graduates are well-prepared for both employment as well as graduate-level study.
